About WSF
The Wilmington Schools Foundation (WSF) exists to support and celebrate Wilmington City Schools and the community of students, staff, and alumni.
Connects WCS alumni.
Provides opportunities to charitably support the educational environment at WCS through donations, grants, and scholarships.
Grants funds to enhance the WCS educational environment. Staff members propose creative ideas, foundation members review applications, and grants are awarded each July.
Honors teachers in the district who exemplify enthusiasm, dedication, preparation, and inspiration.

"Excellence in Teaching" Awards
The "Excellence in Teaching Awards" were established by the WHS Class of 1945 to honor teachers in the district who exemplify enthusiasm, dedication, preparation, and inspiration. The awards, chosen by school principals, are presented each year in honor of former teachers, Esther and Woodrow Williams.

WHS Alumni Association
The WHS Alumni Association was formed by the WSF to promote and assist communication among the alumni. The Association maintains a data base of alumni information, publishes an alumni newsletter, and showcases alumni celebrations.
It is the goal of the association to maintain contact with graduates and to encourage the continuation of their friendships and interest in their alma mater.
We encourage all WHS alumni to share this site with your fellow alumni, follow us on Facebook, and share your accomplishments and celebrations.

Teacher/Staff Grants
Each year the foundation accepts applications from individuals or groups of teachers or other staff members to distribute grants. Our focus is on proposals that display innovative educational ideas, enrich existing programs, provide life-long learning opportunities, and foster school and community relations.
